APPLICATION TECHNOLOGY GROUPThe Application Technology Group encompasses yet another service area that includes development of coating application equipment of increasing value to a new era of demands on industrial protective coatings to be tougher, more chemical resistant, last longer, and with shorter completion times than ever before. At the same time such materials must comply with an ever increasing sensitivity to worker safety and environmental regulations. While many have looked to new technology from water borne coatings to answer the environmentally sensitive issues associated with organic solvent emissions, a host of challenges remains in the list cited above leading to our investment into the "solventless" liquid coating technology. Such technology approaches the concept of manufacturing plastics on site directly to the object requiring protection, "literally molding a coating in place." Solventless coatings can be more chemical resistant, tougher, and last longer as a result of thicker applied films, dry/cure faster resulting in shorter completion times while addressing worker safety, fire safety, and environmental safety issues related to the presence of organic solvents. APPLICATOR TRAINING PROGRAMFor Contractors interested in working with ENDURA-FLEX® products, a training program is available. The focus of the training program is "hands on" experience for the attendees, with special emphasis on how to deal with the everyday problems inherent to plural component equipment operations that can cause unplanned delays/downtime and/or substandard quality of the applied product. These problems include dirty mixer manifold/mixer, contaminated materials, improper or insufficient mixing, mixing of wrong materials, off-ratio applications, pressure spikes, improper cleaning of equipment, overheating or underheating of materials, material transfers, and material changeover. The intent of the GET applicator training program is to have attendees not only versed in the proper procedures for equipment start-ups, operations, and shut-downs, but to have the knowledge and confidence for "in the field" problem avoidance and problem solving. The installation of "GET quality consistent" lining systems requires:
The GET commitment to quality extends into every facet of the above listed requirements. For the interested Contractor, GET has the capabilities to:
ECOSYSTEM®ECOSYSTEM® is the registered name for the technology and equipment used to field process thermoset plastic materials in a wide variety of markets (field process - to manufacture and apply a protective plastic molded around, in /on, a specified item such as concrete, asphalt, earth, wood, and metals). The patented ECOSYSTEM® expansion process allows the applicator to inject a pressurized inert gas into the stream of chemically crosslinking materials prior to the materials exiting the spray gun. This action results in a non-stressed, expanded closed cell, light weight, seamless monolithic film without changing chemical resistance or permeability characteristics of the material as defined in the non-expanded solid condition. The basic concept of the patented ECOSYSTEM® expansion process is to allow for a more versatile and cost effective use of the solvent-free 100 percent solids, multi-component, thermo-setting materials offered by Global EcoTechnologies. This will create additional opportunities to compete in markets that were previously unavailable due to the high cost of materials and will also allow for the use of these materials in market areas that were previously impractical. Examples are as follows:For those Contractors desiring to incorporate the patented ECOSYSTEM® expansion technology into their application program, a licensing agreement with additional training is available. The ENDURA-FLEX® products can be applied either as a solid lining system or as an expanded lining system, depending on the job requirements. However, the ET-2000 PROCESS can only be applied using the ECOSYSTEM® expansion technology. Use of the patented ECOSYSTEM® expansion technology with any product will require a licensing agreement with mandatory training. The ECOSYSTEM® process does require some equipment modifications with specialized training of approximately one day each for the different products. For additional information regarding the above training programs, contact your local GET representative. EQUIPMENTGlobal EcoTechnologies provides plural component equipment to support ENDURA-FLEX® products, ET-2000 PROCESS, and the ECOSYSTEM® application technology. During the years spent developing the patented ECOSYSTEM® expansion technology, there was a continual research and development program for a better plural component delivery system. This effort resulted in the design and manufacturing of the ECOSYSTEM® Process Modules, EPM-1 and EPM-88. The EPM-1 is a unique hydraulic powered plural component delivery system that allows Contractors to apply the ENDURA-FLEX® materials and the ET-2000 PROCESS at distances in excess of 1000 feet while operating at pressures as low as 1200 psi. The EPM-88 unit is an air-powered plural component unit and was designed for applications of EF-1988. The "common sense" approach of the GET manufactured equipment allows for a more efficient use of equipment, better material transfer efficiencies, less wear of equipment parts, and safer operations as compared to the traditional "muscle" approach of operating in the 3000 - 5000 psi range. Depending on Contractor need, the GET manufactured plural component equipment can be designed for dedication to a single ENDURA-FLEX® product with specific application parameters (EPM-88), or designed as "state-of-the-art" multi-use equipment with a wide variation in production rates as defined in the EPM-1. In the event that a Contractor has existing plural component equipment, and does not wish to invest in additional new units, up-grades of these old units can be done by GET professionals for improved performance and for specific applications of the ENDURA-FLEX® products and the ET-2000 PROCESS.The GET knowledge of plural component equipment combined with many years of "hands-on" field experience gives our staff the ability to assist Contractors in developing "state-of-the-art" application programs to better serve their client base. DESCRIPTION: The GET application system for the 100 percent solids, solventless polyurethane ENDURA-FLEX® products is plural component. The designed plural component system will pump, heat, proportion, mix, and deliver the two (or more) component materials utilizing airless or conventional spray guns, or pour nozzles. The individual components are supplied to the heaters and proportioning pump through separate feed pumps, with the materials being pressurized and metered by the proportioning pump and then transferred to the mixer/manifold through individually heat traced material lines. At the mixer/manifold, materials meet and are intimately blended before deposition onto the substrate by airless or conventional spray, or pour nozzles, as a non-stressed, seamless monolithic lining system. The GET hydraulic powered EPM-1 and air powered EPM-88 are both designed to allow Contractors "maximum use efficiency" by addressing the problems normally experienced during field applications such as: lost production due to off-ratio applications, change-out of material supply drums, necessary movement of equipment because of limited hose length, and unplanned equipment shutdowns. GET units are designed for:
